Buckley Visits The Calgary Stampede

CSI: New York star AJ Buckley (Adam Ross) recently spent time at the western-themed Calgary Stampede in Canada.
As CSI Files previously reported, Buckley attended the Calgary Stampede with his friends Heath Freeman and Johnny Hawkes. "My publicist had called me to invite me up and I've never been up here before," Buckley told the Calgary Herald. "They said to bring a couple of friends. So I said 'Heath, Johnny, do you want to go see some bull riding and some beautiful Calgary women?' They said 'yep . . . done.'"
"I just got back from Iraq where I was visiting the troops," the actor continued. "To see that world and to come back home and be around this very Canadian-American tradition, it was really refreshing to be at home. The people in Calgary, and Canada in general, are so friendly and so nice. Everybody is in a good mood."
Getting the chance to travel is one reason Buckley is glad to work on New York. "CSI is such a great steady gig to have," he explained. "It's such a giant franchise, I get to travel all over the world. But artistically you are always looking for something that's going to push and challenge you as an actor --not that CSI doesn't. I like the dark dramatic stuff that I've been fortunate enough to play; things I've been able to sink my teeth into."
