  • Earlier this month, Lauren Lee Smith, who plays Riley Adams on CSI: Crime Scene Investigation, married photographer Erik Steingroever. The pair had an intimate ceremony with close family and friends in Cultus Lake, Canada, about 70 miles outside of Vancouver.

  • Gary Sinise (CSI: New York's Mac Taylor) and Criminal Minds star Joe Mantegna will co-host the 20th National Memorial Day Concert on PBS Sunday, May 24 from 8:00 to 9:30pm ET. CSI's Laurence Fishburne (Dr Ray Langston) is scheduled to attend. (Source)

  • CSI came in 11th on Forbes.com's list of "TV's 15 Biggest Moneymakers". According to the site, an average episode of CSI brings in $4.2 million in revenue. The average cost of a 30-second ad is $201,000.

  • According to the Hudson Reporter, CSI: NY's Hill Harper will deliver the keynote address at Hudson County Community College's 31st annual commencement ceremonies on May 20 in Newark, New Jersey.

  • Forensic Technology, the Canadian company that created the Integrated Ballistic Identification System (IBIS) regularly shown on shows like CSI, has unveiled a new device that creates three-dimensional images of bullets. The IBIS Bullettrax-3D sensor creates pictures that are so detailed that the microscopic scratches created by a gun barrel allow experts to match weapons and projectiles with as much precision as a fingerprint. The technology was recently used to solve a 15-year-old murder case. (Source: Canada.com)

  • Trevor Smith, better known as Busta Rhymes, said he would give up hip-hop for a career on a television series like CSI: Miami. "Yes I would (pursue a full-time TV career)," Smith told Contact Music. "I'm a big fan of House. I'm a big CSI: Miami fanatic."

    Friday Night Lights' Stacey Oristano will appear in an upcoming episode of CSI. "I had the most fun on that show, with the people on CSI," the actress told Cinema Blend. "I get to play the killer, and she-- well she's not actually a bad girl; she's just pretty stupid. It was so much fun getting down and dirty and dragging dead bodies, and there's a huge fight. My God, it was so much fun."
