Moonves Says 'Miami' Will Come Out On Top

If it ain't broke, don't fix it.

CSI Files previously reported that NBC will premiere a primetime show for Jay Leno starting in the fall of 2009. It will air at 10:00pm, a time when network television usually fills its schedule with scripted programmes. The show, which will air five nights a week, is going to compete with series like CSI: Miami and CSI: New York.

CBS Corporation CEO Leslie Moonves felt confident in the continued performance of CBS shows. "I will bet anybody who would like to bet that CSI: Miami on Monday night at 10 o'clock will beat Jay by a lot. Remember that -- by a lot," he said at a UBS media conference, according to Reuters.

"Certain people are having audience erosion, and certain people aren't," Moonves explained, and CBS wins the 10:00pm hour four out of five weeknights. "I'm here to tell you the model ain't broken," he continued. "You can still make a lot of money in network television. We like 10 o'clock shows."
