CSI: New York faces unusual competition and CSI: Crime Scene Investigation gets a boost.
There was a ratings glitch for Monday, meaning that the totals for CSI: Miami may not be entirely accurate. Based on metered market numbers from only 45 out of 56 markets, Miami won its timeslot with a 10.6 rating/17 share in households, meaning that 10.6% of all households were watching Miami at 10:00pm, going up to 17% when only taking into consideration the households that were actually watching television at the time. Fast nationals indicate that Miami had approximately 13.9 million viewers at 10:00 pm, moving to 14.3 million at the half-hour.
On Wednesday, CSI: New York played second fiddle to the 41st Annual Country Music Association Awards, which earned ABC 15.93 million viewers and an 5.4 rating/14 share in the 18-49 demographic from 8:00-11:00pm. At 10:00pm, New York earned 12.87 million viewers and 3.5/10 in 18-49.
CSI: Crime Scene Investigation shared the lead with Grey's Anatomy at 9:00pm on Thursday. CSI had more overall viewers, with 21.92 million to Grey's 19.3 million. Grey's took the lead in 18-49, however, with 7.9/19 over CSI's 6.4/15. The crossover with CSI gave Without a Trace it's highest ratings for the season with 21.39 million overall viewers and 6.3/17 for 18-49 in the 10:00pm timeslot.
