CSI:NY faced tough competition as Lost moved to Wednesday nights. However, ratings were not lost. CSI:Miami also won it’s timeslot. But not even the return of William Petersen could secure a win for CSI.

CBS won Monday night with a 9.6 rating/15 share, beating NBC’s 8.0/12 and FOX’s 7.0/10. In the 10:00 pm timeslot, CSI:Miami had the biggest audience of the night with an 11.8/19. NBC’s Studio 60, 4.6/7, and ABC’s special In Style Celebrity Weddings, 4.4/7, didn’t come close.

FOX won Wednesday night, despite the fact that neither American Idol nor Lost drew as many viewers as might have been expected. FOX came in first place for the night with an 11.9/18 share, beating CBS’ 9.4/14 and ABC’s 6.1/9. At 10:00 pm, CSI:NY emerged victorious from it’s toughest ratings battle of the season, beating ABC’s Lost 10.2/16 to 8.5/14. NBC’s Medium placed third at 5.4/8.

CBS won Thursday night, thanks to the return of Survivor. CBS averaged an 11.0/17 share, beating ABC’s 10.5/16 and NBC’s 5.8/9. Despite the return of William Petersen, CSI’s 13.7/20 came in second to ABC’s Grey’s Anatomy, which drew the biggest numbers of the night with 15.2/22. NBC came in a distant third with Scrubs, 4.2/6, and 30 Rock, 3.5/5.
