- CSI: Crime Scene Investigation is nominated for the 35th Annual People's Choice Awards in the category of Favorite TV Drama. Lead-out Eleventh Hour also received a nomination for Favorite New TV Drama.
- CSI: New York's Hill Harper (Dr Sheldon Hawkes) recently made the third stop on the 14-city HBCU Empower Me Tour in Dallas, Texas. Harper serves as the spokesman for the tour, which seeks to teach and empower minority youth to finish their college education and achieve financial security. "We have not developed a great deal of financial literacy within our communities and families," Harper told Diverse. "Most young people think of money as an end result, rather than what it really is: a life tool."
- The first season of The Border, starring Sofia Milos (CSI: Miami's Yelina Salas) will be available on DVD November 18. (Source)

- Eagle Egilsson, who has acted as producer, cinematographer and director for Miami, will direct the four-episode micro-series HEROES: DESTINY, which premieres November 10 on NBC.com, Hulu and Sprint wireless phones.
- Carmine Giovinazzo (Danny Messer on CSI: NY) participated in the 25th Annual Love Ride last month. More than 20,000 motorcyclists participated, and their efforts raised more than $1,000,000 for Southern California-based charities according to The Earth Times.
- RLI reports that international fashion company Sacoor Brothers is currently on its third campaign involving stars from Miami. "Every Sacoor Brothers store and window features Eva LaRue [Natalia Boa Vista] and Adam Rodriguez [Eric Delko] and is themed 'Sacoor Air'," said Member of the Executive Board, Salim Sacoor. "We have noticed that people are associating the CSI: Miami actors with our brand, which is great!"
- Melina Kanakaredes (New York's Stella Bonasera) wasn't fully prepared to send her youngest daughter, Karina Eleni, to kindergarten. "She had a blast and it was very easy for her but for me, it was hard," Kanakaredes explained to OK! Magazine, adding, "She said, 'Go, Mama!' [I said] 'Okay.' - CSI Files previously mentioned the "CSI: Live" stage show, an interactive experience that combines CSI with audience interaction to solve a mystery. "CSI: Live" started in Valencia, California, and it recently travelled to Chicago, Illinois. One of the goals of Mad Science, the performance company behind the show, is to "educate kids on forensic science and get them excited about learning," tour manager and "CSI: Live" actor Dave Rossetti said.
