  • Emily Procter (Calleigh Duquesne) is featured in a Fresno Bee article looking at Southern accents on television. The actress said she wasn't told to "tone down" her natural North Carolina accent. "If they had, I would have said, 'too bad'. The reason I lose part of my accent is all these New Yorkers. Every single cast member but me is from New York. If I am standing there talking to them, I lose my accent." Read more at this page.

  • William Petersen (Gil Grissom) sang Take Me Out To The Ballgame at Wrigley Field in Chicago last Friday, according to the Daily Herald. "He wore a Sosa shirt, of course, which gave the impression if his crew conducted the forensics investigation, even the corked bat would have been cleared," the newspaper said.

  • Vince Horiuchi at the Salt Lake Tribune has written an editorial on the Television Critics Association Award nominations. He called the list of nominees "solid", then added "hurrah, no ER or CSI".

  • An Associated Press article has criticised over-the-top publicity campaigns for television and film. CSI was one of the culprits:

    Over at CBS, a promotion for CSI: Crime Scene Investigation hyped the season finale by warning of a team member's death. It turned out to be a recurring character who was killed, not a series star.

  • CSI: Miami was watched by just under 2 million viewers in the United Kingdom last week, according to The Guardian.
