First ‘Monster In A Box’ Plot Details Revealed

According to CSI Files sources, Grissom is back on the job in “Monster In a Box.” The team works to solve a murder that hasn’t occurred yet. A box is left for Grissom. It contains yet another painstaking miniature crime scene replica.
The crime scene miniature indicates the body of a woman in her fifties, dead on her couch. Brass, Warrick and Nick identify the condo building represented in the miniature by it’s unique architecture – large windows on the upper floors crossed by metal structural beams that form a diagonal line across them.
Brass, Warrick, Nick and a crew of uniformed officers enter the condo building. Brass shows the security guard a photo of the miniature corpse’s face and asks if it looks like anyone living in the building. After the security guard questions the fact that the photograph is of a doll, he says it looks like Barbara Glass.
Brass and crew knock on Barbara’s door. When no one answers, they have security unlock the door. The interior of the condo is an exact duplicate of the miniature with one exception – Barbara Glass. She steps into the room wearing a terry cloth robe with a towel wrapped around her head. She is frightened and angry.
Barbara insists she’s fine, not in danger and that the armed men who have just broken into her home are violating her constitutional rights. She reads Brass the riot act. Eventually Brass pulls out a photo of the miniature corpse to convince her that the danger is real. The similarity is not lost on her and she immediately calms down. Brass also shows her the photo of the room miniature and explains that there have been three murders with similar M.O.s over the span of a few months.
Barbara cooperates and examines the photos to see if anything about them would indicate the time of day the murder is supposed to happen. She takes a nap everyday at 4:00, so the fact that the miniature corpse is laying on the couch tells her it’s supposed to happen during her nap time.
Barbara is quickly removed from her home and a look alike undercover agent, Officer Kamen, takes a “nap” on the couch and the team waits for the killer to strike.
