CSI: Crime Scene Investigation had the highest ratings of its hour on Thursday, but NBC led CBS to win the overnight ratings for the night.

In the 9 p.m. timeslot, according to Zap2It, "Play With Fire" earned the best numbers of the night: a 15.7 rating/24 share. That means that this week, approximately 15.7% of American households with television sets were tuned to CSI, and 24% of households watching television at the time had "Play With Fire" on the screen.

These ratings are up from the 14.6/22 earned by "Forever", which was knocked out of its regular slot by President Bush's address last week. Yet they are slightly lower than the 15.8/24 ratings of "Last Laugh" at the end of April.

NBC won the night on the strength of two 40-minute episodes Friends, a new broadcast and a repeat, followed by an expanded episode of Will & Grace. These shows overlapped their regular timeslots to end at 9:30 p.m.

At 10 p.m., ER achieved its usual high numbers, a 14.5/23 rating, to trump Without a Trace on CBS. MediaWeek reported today that CBS is considering moving Without a Trace to Sunday nights to replace the movies they have shown this season.

The full overnight ratings are available here. Keep in mind that the numbers will change slightly when the total ratings are calculated next week.
