CSI: Crime Scene Investigations's new episode, "Eleven Angry Jurors," was the most watched show last night, shaking off competition from Donald Trump's new reality show, The Apprentice.
According to Mediaweek's Programming Insider, "Eleven Angry Jurors" earned a 19.3 rating/28 share. This means that 19.3% of households with television sets had them tuned into CSI, while 28% of households watching TV during that hour were viewing the episode. The Apprentice, which began at 8:30 eastern time with a 15.7/22 rating dipped to 12.6/18 for the 9pm hour against CSI. The Apprentice ranked #1 for the first half hour, but fell to the second place spot for the final hour.
The strong combo of Friends, which earned a 17.8/26, The Apprentice, and ER, which scored a 16.5/24 allowed NBC to sneak by CBS to win the night overall. NBC earned a 15.2/22 for the evening, with CBS coming in a close second with a 14.6/21.
A repeat of "Invisible Evidence" was shown at 8pm, and earned an 11.3/17. It placed second for the hour, well ahead of the ABC's Threat Matrix, which came in third. CSI's lead out show, Without a Trace, earned a 13.3/20 to come in at second place for the hour behind a new episode of ER.
