'CSI', 'Miami' Reruns Top The Charts

Even with competition from a summer schedule that features plenty of first-run programming, repeats of CSI: Crime Scene Investigation and CSI: Miami were still far ahead of the competition in the ratings.

According to Reuters TV (via Yahoo! News), CSI and CSI: Miami came in first and second place respectively for the week ending July 4th. CSI's episode "Bad to the Bone" drew 15.9 million viewers, while Miami's "Deadline" attracted 13.5 million viewers. The CSI shows also ranked number one and two with adults 18-49 and 25-54.

Comparitively, CSI's finale "Bloodlines" pulled in 25.12 million viewers (story), meaning over 63% of CSI's audience is tuning to the reruns. Miami's finale "Innocent" was watched by 20.89 million people (story)meaning its rerun this week retained over 64% of its viewers.

Led by CSI and Miami, CBS was the most watched network of the past week, pulling in an average of 8 million viewers. NBC, bolstered by shows such as Last Comic Standing 2, which came in fifth place among adults 18-49, was second with 6.5 million viewers. Another reality show sequel, The Simple Life 2, number three with adults 18-49, helped Fox come in third place with 4.9 million viewers.
