- CSI: Miami's leading man, David Caruso (Horatio Caine), celebrated his birthday on Wednesday. The actor turned 53.
- CSI: New York writer Jeremy R Littman ("Turbulence") created a series called Pushed with Morgan Gendel that will be shown on TheWB.com starting this month. (Source: New York Times)
- Entertainment Tonight has posted a photo gallery containing some of Gil Grissom's (William Petersen) "Most Memorable" moments from CSI: Crime Scene Investigation. (Please be aware that the gallery contains spoilers for the next episode, "One to Go".)
- FedEx Corporation awarded a $331,800 grant to the United Negro College Fund (UNCF) to establish the FedEx/UNCF Scholarship Initiative. The program supports UNCF's Empower Me Tour, which is led by New York star Hill Harper (Dr Sheldon Hawkes). (Source)
- CSI Files previously reported that Jonathan Littman and Danny Cannon would be working on a pilot for a TNT series called The Line. The network is moving forward with Line, which Littman and Cannon are executive producing along with Doug Jung (Big Love) and CSI producer Jerry Bruckheimer. The drama will star Dylan McDermott as the head of an undercover crime-fighting team.
- CBS became the first advertiser to appear on the front page of the New York Times. The first ad promoted successful CBS series like CSI, and subsequent ads for the company will appear every Monday.
- MobiTV now offers full-length episodes of CBS series such as CSI and its spinoffs for viewers to download to their mobile phones. "Partnering with MobiTV allows fans of our most popular shows to stay up to date on their favorite characters wherever they go," CBS Mobile's Executive Vice President and General Manger Jeff Sellinger told PR Newswire. "This partnership further reflects our desire to provide CBS viewers with access to the shows they love, wherever they are, and extend our reach within the mobile universe."
- Adventure Gamers described the new CSI: NY computer game as "casual", and the site contains some screencaps in addition to comments about the game itself.
- CBS made a deal with Time Warner Cable in which the cable company will pay for access to CBS shows like CSI. The network has signed deals with smaller cable companies, but Time Warner is the biggest and most significant in terms of power, according to CBS President and CEO Les Moonves. "I think it opens the door for more of these deals," Moonves said on Tuesday. "It sets a template, and people now know we will get paid for our content."
