Sofia Milos Won’t Miss The Dead Bodies

One thing actress Sofia Milos (Yelina Salas) won’t miss about her Miami gig is being around faux dead bodies.
The actress recently told the Malaysian Star Online the show sometimes uses food to create dead bodies, which, after sitting around in the sun for half a day, don’t usually produce pleasant smells. “There was one scene where Emily [Procter] and Khandi [Alexander] were over a dead body completely cut open.
And Khandi – she loves it. She never gets grossed out. She was using tweezers to try and get a huge fly out of this dead body’s intestines. Emily and I were supposed to just stand there and talk about it and I was talking about how in Colombia that is actually an excellent dish!” the actress remembered.
Milos was written out of CSI: Miami when the producers decided the character could not evolve creatively any further. The actress revealed there’s a big possibility we’ll see Detective Salas again, perhaps towards the end of the season; however, the producers have not confirmed this one way or the other.
Regardless, Milos admitted she enjoyed bringing her character to life. “What I love about portraying women today is that they have the strength, the power, and the femininity, and more, because that’s what women are."
