Fishburne Visits 'New York' And 'Miami'

CSI: Crime Scene Investigation's new leading man, Laurence Fishburne (Dr Ray Langston), will film crossover episodes with both CSI: Miami and CSI: New York for the upcoming season.
As CSI Files previously reported, Miami's leading man David Caruso (Horatio Caine) spoke with Fishburne about the possibility of filming a crossover between Miami and CSI. This season, Caruso will get his wish when Fishburne's character appears in the spinoff series, according to TV Guide Magazine. But the crossover won't stop there. Fishburne will also appear in the Big Apple alongside Gary Sinise (Mac Taylor) and the rest of the New York team.
All three episodes will be part of one big storyline during November sweeps. The crossovers will start on Miami during the show's normal timeslot Monday at 10:00pm ET/PT. It will continue on Wednesday at 10:00pm ET/PT during CSI: NY. Fishburne will wrap up the crossover by returning to Vegas for the crossover's third and final episode Thursday at 9:00pm ET/PT.
This is the first time CSI has crossed over with New York. The flagship series crossed over with Miami in "Cross-Jurisdictions", the episode that introduced the second member of the franchise. Miami crossed over with New York twice: first in the episode that introduced the third series, "MIA/NYC Nonstop", then in the two-part story "Felony Flight" and "Manhattan Manhunt". Fishburne will be the second actor to appear in all three series as the same character. Caruso has appeared on both CSI and New York as Horatio Caine. Carmine Giovinazzo (CSI: NY's Danny Messer) has also appeared on all three series, but his CSI appearance was as Thumpy G in the season three premiere "Revenge is Best Served Cold".
