It's goodbye Miami, hello Big Easy.
Khandi Alexander (Dr Alexx Woods) said farewell to CSI: Miami at the end of the show's sixth season. However, it may not be the last time fans get to see the actress in sunny Florida. According to the Hollywood Reporter, Alexander may return to the show as a guest star in the future.
In the meantime, Alexander is in talks to star in the upcoming HBO series Treme. The show is named after an area of New Orleans famous for music and musicians. Treme will take place post-hurricane Katrina as the citizens seek to rebuild the city. David Simon created the pilot and recruited two actors from his previous series The Wire to join the cast: Wendell Pierce and Clarke Peters.
Pierce will play Antoine Batiste, a musician trying to find work to support his girlfriend and their new baby. Alexander will play Ladonna, Antoine's ex-wife and a mother of two. Ladonna is working hard to keep her bar in business. Alexander is said to be in "final negotiations" to join Treme.
