'CSI' Actors Support SAG

Negotiations will continue.
As CSI Files previously reported, the Screen Actors Guild (SAG) negotiated with the Alliance of Motion Picture and Television Producers (AMPTP) for 42 days, but an agreement was not reached before the June 30 deadline. The results of the American Federation of Television and Radio Artists (AFTRA) ratification vote will be announced Tuesday and will have an effect on continued negotiations between the actors and the producers. If the tentative deal gets passed, it would reduce SAG's leverage in the talks.
Several CSI: Crime Scene Investigation stars created short video clips for the SAG website showing their support and urging others to do the same. William Petersen (Gil Grissom) said, "I'm a proud member of the Screen Actors Guild, and I support my Screen Actors Guild negotiating team. Please do the same."
"I am a proud member of the Screen Actors Guild, and I strongly support the SAG leadership and the entire negotiating committee," Marg Helgenberger (Catherine Willows) said in her video. Former costar Jorja Fox (Sara Sidle) said she is "a proud card-carrying SAG member and AFTRA member." She went on to say the SAG negotiating team has been "working diligently around the clock for months now to ensure that all of us have work for ten and twenty and thirty years into the future. Respect them, support them, they're gonna do a great thing for all of us."
Info about the strike is from the Hollywood Reporter. You can see the video clips of William Petersen, Marg Helgenberger and Jorja Fox at the guild's official site.
