'Miami' Heads Down Under

CSI: Miami will make its way to Australian shores later this month.
The Nine Network will debut the CSI: Crime Scene Investigation spin-off series at 8:30 p.m. on Wednesday, July 23, according to the network's web site. The first episode to be shown will probably be "Golden Parachute", since the Miami backdoor pilot, "Cross-Jurisdictions", aired during the run of CSI: Crime Scene Investigation's second season.
CSI: Miami has been paired with another crime show from producer Jerry Bruckheimer, Without a Trace. The series, which airs as the lead-out show for the original CSI in America, will be shown on Wednesdays at 9:30 p.m. Without a Trace features two Australian actors, Anthony LaPaglia and Poppy Montgomery, who play Jack Malone and Samantha Spade, respectively.
While CSI: Miami will be shown in Wednesday nights, CSI: Crime Scene Investigation is scheduled to continue in its Tuesday 8:30 p.m. timeslot. Australian viewers are almost halfway through CSI's third season, but the Nine Network is breaking up the first-run episodes with repeats.
Australian fans can download a short CSI: Miami preview from Nine's web site.
