- Real-life CSIs had something to say about television versus reality at the opening of the new San Mateo County crime lab recently, according to a report at Mercury News. Assistant lab director Gary Goldman said they have come under increased pressure to perform DNA tests since the series launched. "The juries expect it. They watch CSI just like everybody else. They expect that we can do the same things."
- Delgado Community College has introduced a new course called CSI New Orleans, Nola.com reported. "It's innovative and of course picking up on the popularity of the two CBS television shows," said public relations coordinator Don O'Callahan.
