  • TV Guide's Robin Honig said she was having problems trying to understand Miami's latest episode:

    Am I the only one who practically has an anxiety attack trying to follow this show? Way too much evidence and too many supporting players who aren't different enough from each other. (Anyone else get the gang members confused?)

  • Over at Entertainment Weekly, Ann Hodgman also rakes "Shootout" over the coals, picking out the episode's worst lines, coolest prop and "Most absolute positive proof that Calleigh really is blind".

  • Pop star Britney Spears is reportedly a big fan of CSI: Crime Scene Investigation, according to the Star-Telegram. In fact, Spears is said to be so keen on the show that she wants to become a forensic scientist herself.

  • Walker Howard, who played Andre Chambers in "No Humans Involved", has been cast in the Sci-Fi Channel's new series, Painkiller Jane, the Futon Critic reported. The series will reportedly focus on a marine officer who can heal herself.

  • Emily Procter (Calleigh Duquesne) recently appeared on CBS's The Early Show and spoke about her own investigation: finding out who was tracking muddy footprints through her house over the Christmas period. An article on her appearance can be found here.

  • CSI was the most-watched show of the 2004 fall season, attracting an average of 28.2 million viewers each week, the Detroit Free Press reported. CSI: Miami was third with 20.6 million, just behind ABC's second-place Desperate Housewives (22.6 million).

  • The Murray police department has set up a citizens police academy to educate the public about rea-life crimefighting as opposed to what goes on in shows such as CSI or Law & Order. Read more at the Murray Ledger.
