'Complications' Wins Monday Night

CSI: Miami's first new episode of 2004, "Complications," took the number one spot of the evening for Monday night.
According to Mediaweek's Programming Insider, "Complications" scored a 14.6 rating/22 share. This means that 14.6% of households with television sets had them tuned into CSI: Miami, while 22% of households watching TV during that hour were viewing the episode. This is an improvement from Miami's last new episode, "Extreme," which scored a 12.5/20 (story).
Buoyed by a strong line up, CBS won the evening, with an overall score of 11.8/17. CBS placed well ahead of second place ABC, which scored a 9.3/13 overall. Mediaweek estimates that 17.15 million viewers were tuned into CBS, while 13.91 million watched ABC. ABC showed the movie Castaway, starring Tom Hanks.
CBS's line up for the evening was strong, with CSI: Miami's two lead in shows winning their timeslots as well. Everybody Loves Raymond scored a 13.5/18 in the 9pm slot, while the freshman comedy Two and a Half Men, which retained 90% of Raymond's viewers, scored a 12.1/17.
CBS also scored a victory in the adults 18-49 category, tying NBC for the most viewers in this category. NBC debuted Average Joe 2 opposite CSI: Miami, and it scored a 6.9/10.
