  • CSI: New York star Hill Harper (Dr Sheldon Hawkes) celebrated the victory of President-elect Barack Obama in Grant Park, Illinois at the Underground nightclub.

  • CSI: Crime Scene Investigation's new lead-out, Eleventh Hour, has inspired a website where fans can go to learn facts about what is shown in each episode of the show. "We're not here to comment on the program," Jeff Joseph, VP of communications for BIO, told Brand Republic. "We're using it as an opportunity to make sure that consumers have the right message about biotech."

  • CSI's newest investigator, Lauren Lee Smith (Riley Adams) said she hopes her character's relationship with Greg Sanders (Eric Szmanda) doesn't evolve into anything romantic. "The chemistry between Eric and I is very sort of 'brother-sister.' It's always more interesting when they keep it platonic," she told TV Guide.

  • Swedish physician Anders Persson, MD, PhD and his colleagues at the Center for Medical Image Science and Visualization (CMIV) produce 3D images of inside the human body with a combination of techniques including magnetic resonance, ultrasound and positron emisson tomography. The images are compiled to create rich, detailed pictures that are especially useful in forensic investigations. According to NBC San Diego, Persson's 3D virtual autopsies have been featured on CSI.
