'CSI' Nabs Saturn Award

CSI: Crime Scene Investigation took home the award for for Best Network Television Series at last night's Saturn Awards.
According to Cinescape, CSI tied with the WB's recently-cancelled Angel in the top television award category. Though it was CSI's only award, Angel nabbed three other acting awards, including best actor and both best supporting actor and actress statues.
The Best Network Television Series award was CSI's only Saturn nomination. Together with Angel, CSI beat out Alias, Buffy: The Vampire Slayer, Smallville, and Star Trek: Enterprise for the honor.
CBS did score another triumph in an acting category. Amber Tamblyn took home the Best Actress in a Television Series for her starring role Joan of Arcadia. All of the other acting trophies were awarded to actors from Angel: David Boreanaz took the Best Actor category, James Marsters the Best Supporting Actor statue, and Amy Acker the Best Supporting Actress award.
