CSI: Miami scored its highest overnight ratings of the season during its first sweeps night, finishing 30 percent above its lead-in show.
According to Mediaweek's Programming Insider, "Hurricane Anthony" earned a 15.3 rating/22 share. This means that on Monday night, approximately 15.3% of households in overnight markets with television sets were tuned to CBS and 22% of households watching television at the time had CSI: Miami onscreen.
Strong ratings for Monday Night Football's game between the New England Patriots and the Denver Broncos enabled ABC, with a combined average of 12.5/17 for primetime, to tie CBS for first place overall for the overnights. In total ratings released today, CBS won the night.
Programming Insider Marc Berman listed most of CBS' lineup among "Yesterday's Winners", including Everybody Loves Raymond, Two and a Half Men (which maintained 86 percent of Raymond's audience) and CSI: Miami. Still Standing received an honourable mention.
The complete overnight ratings are available here. A brief summary of total ratings may be found in today's column.
