Ratings Round-Up

In keeping the season long trend, CSI:Miami and CSI:NY won their timeslots. A rerun of CSI scored higher ratings than a rerun of rival Grey’s Anatomy, however both Thursday night powerhouses lost to the new FOX show Are You Smarter Than a Fifth Grader?
CBS won Monday night with an 8.8 rating/14 share. NBC took second with 8.2/13 and FOX came in third with a 6.9/10. CBS’s winning spree continued in the 10:00 pm timeslot. CSI:Miami’s 11.0/18 beat ABC’s Oprah Winfrey special Building a Dream, 6.2/10, and the NBC premiere of The Black Donnellys, 5.5/9
Wednesday night belonged to FOX thanks to the dominance of American Idol. FOX earned a 16.5/25 share for the night, while CBS scored 8.1/13 and NBC took third with 5.0/7. At 10:00 pm, CSI:NY won the hour with a 9.2/15 against ABC’s Lost with 7.6/13 and NBC’s Medium with 5.3/9.
FOX took Thursday night as well with a 14.2 rating/21 share versus CBS’s 9.0/14 and ABC’s 5.6/9. A rerun of CSI, with 10.0/16, lost not to it’s normal Thursday night rival but to the new FOX show Are You Smarter Than a Fifth Grader?, 13.0/20. A rerun of ABC’s Grey’s Anatomy took third with 7.1/12
