‘CSI’ Star William Petersen On ‘The Early Show’

On Friday, William Petersen (Gil Grissom) sat down with Julie Chen from The Early Show to discuss the episode that aired the previous night, “Built to Kill, Part Two.”

In “Built to Kill, Part Two,” a rock star’s son was accused of killing his father. The case had a bizarre medical twist though. The son claimed he could not have killed his father because he faints at the sight of blood.

Grissom ordered a test be performed on the son to determine whether he in fact suffered from such a condition. The test confirmed the son’s story and cleared him as a suspect.

CSI shows how science can not only catch suspects, but clear them as well. Is that science, or science fiction? Petersen tells Chen the science on the show is real. He has met a woman who had the same test used on the show performed on her.
