'CSI' Crew Generates New Plots With Help From 200 Writers
By CarolinaAugust 3, 2005 - 6:53 AM
Mystery writer Jim Coe was recently chosen by the writers of CSI to help think up new storylines for the show.
10,000 writers applied for the opportunity to help CSI writers generate fresh plots. Coe, along with 199 other writers, was recently chosen. "It was quite an honor," the writer said. "I watch all three versions of the show."
Coe's works have been featured in many detective publications but the writer considers this the opportunity of a lifetime. In exchange for his ideas, he, along with the 199 other writers, was flown to Vegas by the CSI head honchos, and there he met the cast and the crew to brainstorm future storylines. The trip resulted in 200 new plots.
"We gave them plenty of fresh ideas," Coe said. "They said they gathered enough for the next two seasons of the show."
