"Money For Nothing" took a slight hit in the ratings compared to last week's "Invasion", but CBS still won the night on the strength of its 9-11 p.m. programming, which the fast affiliate ratings ranked first in total viewers and adults 18-49.
According to Mediaweek's Programming Insider, "Money For Nothing" earned a 14.0 rating/21 share in the overnights. This means that last night, approximately 14% of households in overnight markets were tuned to CBS, and 21% of households watching television at the time had CSI: Miami onscreen.
Last week, "Invasion" brought in a 15.2 rating/23 share in the overnights. Yesterday the season finale of Average Joe: Hawaii earned a competitive series-high 9.9/15 and tied CSI: Miami among adults 18-49.
Still, CBS brought in 15.97 million viewers to FOX's 15.11, a +9 increase from the comparable night last year, though FOX's numbers represent an impressive +49 increase. A special edition of American Idol subtitled "Uncut, Uncensored and Untalented" contributed to a metered market win in the adult demographic for FOX.
All six networks saw elevated numbers on the last Monday of sweeps month.
The overnight ratings are here. Total ratings should be available tomorrow.
