Brickyard VFX To Provide Visuals For 'CSI: New York'

By Chris Wales
October 1, 2004 - 2:53 AM

CSI shows have always required extensive visual effects – and CSI: New York's need is to be filled by visual effects company Brickyard VFX, it was revealed yesterday.

The magazine Post revealed via its website that the company, which has never produced any long-form work for television, will be in charge of creating the signature visuals for the show.

Despite never having work on any lengthy TV outings, the company has worked on a number of notable projects on behalf of companies such as EDS, Fidelity, Coors and Priceline.com. Work on the Volkswagen “Squares” commercial won them a Gold Lion at Cannes.

Veteran visual effects expert Kathy Siegel has also joined the team as supervisor. Siegel has previously worked on the 2001 film To End All Wars (Keifer Sutherland, Robert Carlyle) and the 2002 film Bad Company (Anthony Hopkins, Chris Rock). The team will also include artist Geoff McAuliffe, who most notably worked on the 1997 film The Game (Michael Douglas, Sean Penn).

Brickyard VFX's website lists their portfolio to date and can found here; the original report can be found at Post magazine's website.
