With production on the sixth season of CSI: Crime Scene Investigation about to begin, the show has already lined up its first celebrity guest star: rapper Method Man, whose albums include Tical 0 and Tical 2000.
According to StreetHop.com, Method Man will be taking on a role in an upcoming CSI episode, though it is not known yet what character he will play or in which sixth season episode he will be appearing. Method Man has a long list of acting credits to his name including the films Garden State and How High, the television series Method & Red, and guest appearances on the shows The Wire, Oz and Boston Public.
Method Man isn't the first rapper to grace a CSI show. In CSI: Miami's second season, rapper Xzibit appeared as rapper 10-Large in the episode "Rap Sheet".
Method Man's connection to CSI is through writer Dustin Lee Abraham who penned How High. Abraham is currently working on a script for How High 2, in which Method Man will star.
"We're working on How High part 2 right now," Method Man said. "My mans writing it, the same guy that plugged me into those CSI episodes, Dustin [Abraham], he's writing the second How High, he wrote the first one."
