If you were casting the role of a famous rap star for a CSI: Miami episode, who would you choose? A famous rap star, of course.
Rapper Xzibit, whose album Man vs. Machine was released in 2002, will play the part of 10-Large in "Rap Sheet", Launch Radio Networks reported. In the episode, scheduled to air May 10 on CBS, 10-Large is shot at during a concert on Miami's main beach. The rapper escapes with his life, but one of his bodyguards is killed in the assault.
Xzibit, who has appeared in 8 Mile, The Wash and The Breaks, said he chose the guest starring role because it allowed him to stretch his wings beyond performing music. "I mean it made sense because I don't killed in the episode and I mean it gave me a chance to do something besides just, you know, just the music part of it," he said. "You know I just wasn't on there performing and that's it. I was a guest star appearance. It was throughout the whole episode."
As for the name of his character, 10-Large, the artist said it wouldn't have been his first choice. "I couldn't do much about the naming of the dude, man." His character will face off with another rapper called Killa-J in the episode.
"Rap Sheet" will also feature Xzibit's new single, "Ride & Smoke" from his new album, Weapons of Mass Destruction, which will be released in August.
