Damon Gupton Joins ‘Criminal Minds’

Thomas Gibson (Aaron Hotchner) was fired from Criminal Minds last month following an on-set altercation, and the network previously revealed that it would add two new series regulars to fill the void. Former cast member Paget Brewster (Emily Prentiss) is returning to the show full time, and the network announced today that they’re adding Damon Gupton (The Player, Bates Motel) as a new series regular. According to the official press release, Gupton will play Special Agent Stephen Walker. Walker is part of the Behavioral Analysis Program, the “counterintelligence division of the FBI.” Described as a “seasoned profiler”, Walker brings a “spy-hunting skill set” to the team. Gupton’s character will be introduced in the eighth episode of season 12.
