The 56th Monte-Carlo Television Festival will take place later this month, including the Golden Nymph Awards Ceremony, which honours excellence in international television. The 11th International TV Audience Awards will recognize the shows with the highest number of viewers worldwide in 2015, from a total of 62 countries. NCIS took home an award in 2014 and 2015, but the show is not nominated this year. The 2016 nominees in the “Drama TV Series” category are CSI: Crime Scene Investigation, Criminal Minds and The Flash. CSI and Criminal Minds were also nominated last year, and CSI previously won the award five times, most recently in 2012 (previously 2011, 2010, 2008 and 2007). The Golden Nymph Awards Ceremony will take place on Thursday, June 16.

The Monte-Carlo TV Festival also gives out a Crystal Nymph award, recognizing an actor’s career achievements. Last year, the award went to Patricia Arquette (CSI: Cyber’s Avery Ryan); this year, the festival is honouring another CSI franchise veteran. Marg Helgenberger (CSI’s Catherine Willows) will receive the Crystal Nymph during the festival’s opening ceremony on Sunday, June 12. Here’s a quote from festival CEO Laurent Puons:

We’re delighted to welcome Marg Helgenberger to Monte-Carlo to receive the prestigious Crystal Nymph at this year’s 56th edition. The Festival represents a true celebration of international television, and it will be an honour to mark Ms. Helgenberger’s diverse portfolio of work across television, film and theatre with this special Award.

And here’s a video response from Helgenberger about the honour:

Next, check out two tweets confirming that Criminal Minds star Thomas Gibson (Aaron Hotchner) and Criminal Minds: Beyond Borders’ Alana De La Garza (Clara Seger) will be attending the festival:

According to the official website, other attendees include CSI creator Anthony Zuiker, Criminal Minds guest star Danny Glover (Hank Morgan, “Derek”), and Sarah Clarke, who appeared in the final two episodes of NCIS’s 13th season as FBI Special Agent Tess Monroe.
