‘CSI’ Keeps Helgenberger For Now & One ‘Miami’ Romance Takes A Detour
1 min readCSI: Crime Scene Investigation fans can expect to see plenty of Catherine Willows (Marg Helgenberger) during season twelve. Also, things have cooled off between Calleigh Duquesne (Emily Procter) and Eric Delko (Adam Rodriguez) on CSI: Miami, but is this the end of their romance?
As CSI Files previously reported, Helgenberger has been planning to leave CSI; however, her exit may not be happening any time soon. “We expect to see Catherine back next season,” executive producer Carol Mendelsohn told TV Guide. “She will be the supervisor of the graveyard shift. Fans don’t have to say goodbye quite yet.” There’s no news on when (or if) Catherine will finally say goodbye to the Las Vegas Crime Lab, but fans don’t have to worry about that for a while. “I would say that Marg will be a big presence in a lot of the season,” Mendelsohn revealed.
According to co-executive producer Barry O’Brien, Miami had to back off on Eric and Calleigh’s relationship due to Procter’s pregnancy. “It was a little bit of a detour, a little bit of a left turn,” he explained. “But… we know those kind of feelings don’t just go away … They may be made for each other.”
