‘CSI’ Turns To An Old Nemesis To Find Dr Jekyll
1 min readAs CSI: Crime Scene Investigation‘s tenth season winds to a close, the team works to catch Dr Jekyll, the serial killer that has eluded them all season. (Spoilers after the jump!)
Dr Ray Langston (Laurence Fishburne) received a chilling “hello” from incarcerated serial killer Nate Haskell (Bill Irwin) in “Neverland”. Haskell was the subject of Langston’s class when the future CSI first met Gil Grissom (William Petersen) last season in “19 Down”. It’s no coincidence that Langston heard the killer’s name—Haskell will be important as the crime lab tries to track down Dr Jekyll.
Irwin will return in the final two episodes of season ten. “Nate knows who Dr Jekyll is, which is kind of interesting since he’s been in prison for the last 11 years,” executive producer Carol Mendelsohn told Entertainment Weekly. “The [May 20] season finale is all about what it will take to get him to give them a name.”
Ultimately, the search for Dr Jekyll will end with a violent confrontation. Mendelsohn said that “blood will be spilled”. She added, “And it will belong to more than one CSI.”
